A point of pride for the Emerald Coast is the National Seashore. Visitors to Pensacola Beach are able to walk through one of the most historic places in Northwest Florida—Fort Pickens. For years, the local government and the National Park Service has rallied to get a one-of-a-kind ferry service to bring visitors and residents across Pensacola Bay to Fort Pickens.
The company that came to Pensacola Beach to begin the ferry service and transport also supplied shuttles to transport visitors from the ferry into the park. Because Fort Pickens is a part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore and the National Park Service, all of the administration and activities at the park are run through government contracts.
This meant that in order to service their tram vehicles, they needed a technician certified to do repairs and maintenance on government-owned and operated property.
Alex and Joe answered the call and became certified to conduct repairs on the trams and commercial vehicles at Fort Pickens. While the ferry service between Pensacola and Fort Pickens was short-lived, and residents hope it may return again someday, Emerald Coast Golf Carts is now the only dealer and technician in the area to service government owned trams, golf carts, and recreational vehicles.
We now extend our services to national parks and government agencies in need of maintenance and repairs of their commercial specialty vehicles and golf carts.
